It was a fitting occasion with incredible contributions of artwork and song from Kim Cornell and Mim, family violence victim/survivors. Thank You ladies for sharing your experiences with us, they will not be forgotten.
I won't forget the willingness of the Monbulk 'champions' who agreed to be part of this film and stand up for family violence prevention. BIG THANKS to you all.
To the project artists Carolyn Oates, Josh Collings and Kate Crowley you creatively interpreted all the input from forums, websites and personal accounts into a powerful statement for the prevention of family violence that can be accessed by communities everywhere - Congratulations.
Thanks also goes to Dr. Sue Rosenhain from Womens Health East for advising us on current family violence prevention messages and being a wonderful sounding board for ideas.
This project would not have happened if not for the Family Violence Awareness Night that was hosted by the Country Women's Association in Monbulk in April this year. So CWA keep up the amazing work you do in the community!
On a personal note Monbulk Respect has been a most enlightening, stressful and amazing project to manage and I hope our film and song helps to shed a bright light on family violence prevention.
We want this mighty film and song to travel far and wide and be part of the change.

Last night we launched the Monbulk Respect film and Song in Monbulk.
